The wine comes from selected terraced vineyards in the Wachau with barren primary rock soils and is deliberately interpreted as somewhat more powerful and profound. The name refers to the dark, stony soils that give the wine its distinctive mineral character. The 2023 vintage shows a lot of tension and structure, but at the same time a surprisingly delicate
